Bespoke One-on-One Therapy Services in Florida
Philosophie Therapy offers bespoke (highly personalized), online therapy services for individuals across Florida. Some people begin therapy because depression, anxiety, or self-esteem struggles are weighing heavily on their daily lives. Others seek therapy to gain clarity around big decisions, life goals, or their sense of identity.
Going to therapy does not mean you are mentally ill. It means there is something in your life you want to improve, and you are actively taking steps to work on it. We don’t want to fit you into a box. We want to help you become a successful author of your own life story. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all models of mental health. Diagnostic labels and clinical tools can be important, but they only become powerful when they are applied with thoughtfulness to your unique experience.

What to Expect in One-on-One Therapy
Phase One: Getting to Know You and Setting Goals
During your first few sessions, your therapist will spend time getting to know you, asking lots of questions, and learning what feels most important to you right now. After about 3-4 sessions, you and your therapist will set goals for therapy. These goals are not meant to feel rigid or formal but to make sure that your therapist is focused on what is most important to you, rather than making assumptions. Goals are flexible and can change over time, but having them gives you and your therapist a foundation to build upon.
Phase Two: Improving Mental Health and Making Life Changes
Once your goals are set, one-on-one therapy focuses on working through them in a way that feels practical and flexible. Each session gives you space to talk about what’s weighing on you most right now, while also keeping an eye on the bigger picture. In any given session, this could be: brainstorming how to communicate with a difficult person in your life, identifying new activities to try, considering new perspectives for longstanding problems, or refining your coping skills. Many clients are surprised to find that their sessions include laughter and candid conversation with their therapist. Therapy is a professional service, but it does not have to feel cold.
Phase Three: Maintenance and Graduation
As you see improvements in your mental health and life satisfaction, the focus of therapy shifts toward helping you maintain the progress you’ve made. Some people choose to space sessions further apart to have check-ins, while others decide to stop therapy once they feel ready and equipped to move forward. Graduating from therapy is something to celebrate! When you are ready to stop therapy, your therapist will review all that you have accomplished and offer any referrals or resources that may be helpful. If you decide you would like to work on something else in therapy in the future, you are more than welcome to start services again with new goals in mind.
One-on-One Therapy Pricing and Insurance Options
We believe the cost of therapy should be clear from the start. Philosophie Therapy does not bill directly to insurance companies. Instead, sessions are paid for privately, and many clients choose to submit for reimbursement on their own. This gives us the flexibility to focus on what matters most in your sessions, without the restrictions that come with insurance contracts.
Session Pricing
Philosophie Therapy's one-on-one therapy sessions are $140 for 50 minutes. We also offer longer therapy sessions if you prefer more time. Packages are also available if you’d like to book multiple sessions at a time at a discounted rate. We also offer insurance reimbursement options and sliding scale rates for those who qualify. You can review our full pricing pages here.
Insurance Reimbursement
We’ve chosen not to contract with insurance companies because insurance companies typically require therapists to:
-
Provide a mental health diagnosis that stays on your medical record.
-
Submit treatment plans, progress notes, and updates about your care.
-
Prove that your therapy is “medically necessary,” which often excludes goals like improving self-esteem, navigating life transitions, or gaining clarity in relationships.
Even though we don’t bill insurance, many clients still receive partial reimbursement for therapy through their out-of-network benefits. Here’s how that works:
-
You pay for sessions directly.
-
We provide you with a detailed receipt (often called a superbill).
-
You submit the superbill to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement.
-
Your insurance company decides how much they will cover.
It’s important to know that insurance will still require a diagnosis in order to process claims. While a diagnosis is a billing requirement, it does not define you or the quality of your care. We make it easier for you to check your benefits ahead of time. You can use this link to check your insurance reimbursement eligibility with Reimbursify. Alternatively, you can book a free consultation a licensed therapist who can walk you through questions to ask your insurance company if you’re considering reimbursement.
Sliding Scale Rates
We understand that cost can be a barrier to therapy. A limited number of sliding scale spots are available for clients who need them, based on income and financial circumstances. If finances are a concern, please let us know and we’ll do our best to work with you to find a sustainable plan. At Philosophie Therapy, we are committed to making therapy a high-quality, personalized experience that feels worth the investment.
Benefits of One-on-One Therapy
The benefits of therapy depend on many factors, including the challenges you’re facing and the effort you’re able to put in outside of sessions. But for many clients, therapy becomes a turning point in their lives. One-on-one therapy clients of Philosophie Therapy often report:
-
Feeling less anxious or weighed down by worry
-
Decreased symptoms of depression and greater motivation
-
Improved confidence and self-esteem
-
Stronger communication and healthier relationships
-
Less emotional pain from traumatic or difficult experiences
-
Greater clarity around values, goals, and life direction
-
Practical coping skills that fit into day-to-day life
-
A sense of balance, self-acceptance, and resilience
